'Ajrak' Block Prints
Originated in the Sindh region of ancient India, ‘Ajrak’ (pronounced as uh-juh-ruh-kuh) is a complex and sophisticated form of resist block printing.
Traditionally, the art of ‘Ajrak’ printing uses natural dyes like henna, turmeric, and indigo. The elements of nature are intrinsic to this art form.
It takes incredibly skilled craftsmanship to create the gorgeous geometrical and floral patterns on the fabric.
